Officer in Charge of Boko Police Station, Hriday Kalita, was arrested by a team of vigilance of Anti Corruption Directorate for taking bribe.
Kalita was caught red handed while taking a bribe of Rs 20,000 from one Binod Rabha, a cultivator from Boko Police Station area, from whom he had demanded bribe or else he shall fix them in a case.
Allegedly, the officer demanded an amount of Rs 3.5 lakh from Rabha.

Binod Rabha had filed a written complain at ACB Police Station in this regard on Monday, December 18.
Legal formalities are being carried out against the arrested officer.
