NTA Opens Applications For UGC-NET June 2025, Last Date May 7

 

GUWAHATI: Applications for the UGC-NET June 2025 examination are now open, the National Testing Agency (NTA) announced. Candidates can apply online through the official website, ugcnet.nta.ac.in, from April 16 to May 7. The exam is tentatively scheduled to be conducted between June 21 and June 30.

The UGC-NET (University Grants Commission – National Eligibility Test) determines eligibility for the award of Junior Research Fellowship (JRF), appointment as Assistant Professor, and admission to Ph.D. programs in Indian universities and colleges. The examination will be held for 85 subjects in Computer-Based Test (CBT) mode.

Important Dates:

- Application Start Date: April 16, 2025
- Last Date to Apply: May 7, 2025
- Last Date for Fee Submission: May 8, 2025
- Application Correction Window: May 9 to May 10, 2025
- Exam Dates (Tentative): June 21 to June 30, 2025

The application fee is ₹1150 for General/Unreserved candidates, ₹600 for General-EWS/OBC-NCL candidates, and ₹325 for SC/ST/PwD/Third Gender candidates. Applicants are advised to fill out only one application form through the online portal, as submissions through any other mode will not be accepted.
