Northeast: Several Train Services Cancelled Till January 21 By NF Railway

GUWAHATI: Several train services have been temporarily cancelled by the Northeast Frontier (NF) Railway due to track renewal and maintenance work in Malda Division of Eastern Railway and amid the ongoing Kisan agitation in the Firozpur Division of the Northern Railway. The cancellation of the trains will be effective up to January 21, 2022.

Here’s a list of cancellation and short origination of trains:

1. The services of Train No 15656 Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra – Kamakhya Express and Train no 15652 Jammu Tawi – Guwahati Express that were scheduled to start journeys on December 29, will be short originated at Ambala Cantonment Junction due to Kisan agitation in the Northern Railway. 

2. Train No 04654 Amritsar – New Jalpaiguri Special stands canceled on December 29 due to Kisan agitation. As a consequence, Train No 04653 New Jalpaiguri – Amritsar Special has also been cancelled on December 31.

3. Train No 12363 Kolkata - Haldibari Express has been cancelled for December 28 and 30, and January 1st, 4th, 6th, 8th, 11th, 13th, 15th, 18th and 20th, 2022. As a result of this, Train No 12364 Haldibari – Kolkata Express that was scheduled to leave from Haldibari also stands cancelled on December 29 and  31, 2021, and January 2nd, 5th, 7th, 9th, 12th, 14th, 16th, 19th, and 21st, 2022. 

Further details of timings and stoppages of these trains are available on the Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) website and are also being notified in various newspapers and social media platforms of the Northeast Frontier (NF) Railway.
