GUWAHATI: Assam minister Jayanta Mallabaruah on Wednesday made it clear to the newly recruited youths in various government departments that they will have to work for a minimum period of two years in their designated locations before applying for a transfer.
Chairing the orientation program for newly recruited Grade III and Grade IV employees of the Skill, Employment, and Entrepreneurship department, the minister expressed his satisfaction as he welcomed the new employees to the department.
Speaking to the newly appointed individuals, he expressed hope that their dedicated and enthusiastic work would contribute to the department's ability to undertake more effective initiatives.
“I congratulate you on your appointments, and I hope you will give 100 percent to your work. However, let me clarify one thing here; before completing two years of service in your designated postings, do not apply for transfers as transfers will be considered only after completing two years,” the minister said.
The minister also cautioned the new recruits to refrain from unconstitutional or corrupt means like bribery. “Work hard, be honest and carry out your duties efficiently,” he said.
He also urged the employees to be punctual and report to the office on time.
