GUWAHATI: Northeast United FC has reached the third position on the points table by scoring a winning brace in the stoppage time over Jamshedpur FC on October 26.
The first goal was scored by Daniel Chima Chukuwu of Jamshedpur FC in the 19th minute.
And, the first goal of NEUFC was scored by Michel Zabaco in (90+4) minutes.
The momentum that they gained from the first goal pushed them to find a winner, resulting in Romain Philippoteaux winning a spot-kick in the final minute. Melo, shouldering the expectations of the entire stadium, confidently stepped up to the challenge and drilled the ball home in (90+9) minutes of stoppage time, making it a nail-biting fixture!
In their next match, NEUFC will be playing against Odisha on November 3 in Bhubaneswar.
