Naga villagers of Tiru and Upper Tiru take stand against ULFA

Naga villagers of Tiru and Upper Tiru have taken a resolution not to provide shelter to ULFA or any underground militant organizations. The villagers also sent a delegation to Supdt. of Police, Charaideu and authorized their support to Assam Police in the on-going anti insurgency operations. It may be mentioned that one ULFA linkman, Mumpha Konyak alias Kotia, happened to be a Naga from village Tiru, Mon District, Nagaland was arrested on 29 January, 2017 in connection with blast of two IEDs on 26th January, 2017 under Mathurapur P.S. The arrested person has also confessed his link with ULFA cadre Ganesh Lohan and Pankaj Molia, both of Charaideu district, under whose direction he planted the IEDs. Following the arrest of Mumpha Konyak, the Naga villagers have taken the decision and Assam Police appreciated this gesture of villagers of Tiru and Upper Tiru.  Stay updated on the go with GPlus News.
