GUWAHATI: In a recent operation against drug trafficking, the Government Railway Police (GRP) in Guwahati seized 734 grams of suspected morphine during a routine inspection on Train No. 15909 Dn Avadh Assam. According to authorities, three individuals have been apprehended in connection with the illicit substance.

The suspects were reportedly found in possession of the suspected morphine during the train inspection. The GRP wasted no time in initiating necessary legal proceedings against the arrested individuals.

GRP Assam took to X to put out a statement, which read, “#WarAgainstDrugs Guwahati GRPS seized 734 grams of suspected Morphine during checking in Train No. 15909 Dn Avadh Assam. 3 accused persons have been apprehended. Necessary legal action has been initiated.”
