GUWAHATI: A large fire broke out on Monday, April 7, in northern Paris near the city’s new judicial center, prompting emergency crews to urge the public to avoid the area. Thick plumes of black smoke were visible across the French capital as firefighters battled the blaze at one of Paris's largest recycling facilities.

According to reports, around 200 firefighters and 60 fire engines were deployed to the scene. Flames lit up the night sky, and authorities temporarily closed sections of the city’s main ring road to provide better access for emergency vehicles.
The building had been completely destroyed and everyone inside had been safely evacuated. He noted that the fire began underground and quickly spread throughout the structure despite the swift arrival of firefighters.
The Paris fire-brigade described the incident as a "major fire" on the X platform (formerly Twitter) and reiterated calls for the public to steer clear of the zone to allow emergency responders to do their work.
The blaze occurred at the Syctom recycling center, located adjacent to the capital’s main court facility. Opened in 2019, the plant was built to manage household waste for nearly one million residents in the Paris area, city officials said.
