GUWAHATI: The mascot for the ensuing Assam Assembly Election 2021, named 'Bohag and Bohagi' was released by the Chief Electoral Officer of Assam, Nitin Khade on March 5.
Khade also released the election song and the state election slogan "Ab ki baar 85% paar" during the press conference with an aim to aware the masses of their right to franchise and subsequently increase the rate of vote in Assam.
Further, the election commission has released a toll-free number 1950 for any help to the voters.
Chief Electoral Officer of Assam Nitin Khade appointed Cricketer Riyan Parag, Assam actor Kopil Bora, singer Anindita Paul and para-cyclist Rakesh Banik as the icons of Systematic Voters' Education and Electoral Participation (SVEEP), adding that street-plays will be performed across the state to aware citizens of the importance of the election.
