GUWAHATI: A man has been arrested for murdering his father-in-law in Lekhapani, Tinsukia on January 28.

The police apprehended a man named Monuj Kumar for allegedly killing his father-in-law, Chinaki Barek.
The incident reportedly took place after a heated argument between the two.
Talking to GPlus, a police official from Lekhapani police station said, “Kumar was drunk and one thing led to another in the argument, and he finally ended up killing him in a fit of rage and inebriation.”
The incident occurred at around 7-8 PM in the evening.
The suspect is now in custody and further details are awaited.
