GUWAHATI: Pranab Kumar Baruah, a teacher currently employed in China, was allegedly beaten up by students of Gauhati University on May 6.
Baruah's father is a retired professor of Gauhati University.

The incident took place when Baruah and his father were visiting Gauhati University Hospital where they were allegedly thrashed by a group of boys. Baruah said that the boys mentioned they were from University of Law College. The boys snatched Baruah's phone and threatened his life.
Post the incident, Baruah has lodged an FIR at Jalukbari Police station.
