GUWAHATI: Light to moderate rain is expected at isolated places across Assam over the next five days, with the India Meteorological Department issuing a weather warning. According to the weather report issued on Tuesday, January 28, cyclonic circulation persists over East Bangladesh and neighbouring areas.

While Arunachal Pradesh is likely to witness more significant rainfall, with moderate to heavy rain expected at times, Assam shall experience lighter showers. Isolated pockets across the Northeast region may also encounter shallow to moderate fog.
The forecast predicts light snowfall in higher reaches of Arunachal Pradesh throughout the week. Thunderstorm and lightning are likely to occur at isolated places over Arunachal Pradesh and Assam over three days.
