GUWAHATI: In a recent operation conducted by the Directorate of Vigilance & Anti-Corruption, Assam, a Lat Mandal identified as Arafat Alom Bora, stationed at the Naduar Revenue Circle in Sootea, District - Biswanath, was apprehended red-handed. The anti-corruption unit, through its official X account, reported the successful trap.
According to the Directorate, Bora was caught in the act of accepting a bribe within the premises of the Circle Officer's office in Naduar Revenue Circle. The bribe was allegedly related to the facilitation of name updation in land records.
Taking to X, the Directorate of Vigilance & Anti-Corruption, Assam stated, “Today @DIR_VAC_ASSAM trapped red handed Arafat Alom Bora, Lot Mandal of Naduar Revenue Circle, Sootea, Dist- Biswanath after he accepted bribe in the O/O Circle Officer, Naduar Revenue Circle for name updation in land records.”
