GUWAHATI: A kidnapping attempt conspired in Guwahati’s Panbazar area on January 28 as the victim managed to escape near Ulubari.

The victim was forcefully taken into an SUV vehicle by 4-5 individuals from Panbazar. As the vehicle came down from the Bishnu Ram Medhi flyover in Ulubari, the victim escaped from the vehicle and took shelter in a nearby shop.
Reports state that he had a bag with valuables which the miscreants were after.
Talking to GPlus, a police official from Panbazar police station said, “We are investigating the matter. Nothing is clear as of yet.”
Further investigations are underway as more details are awaited.
