The first-ever "Butterfly Conservation Meet-2024," conducted from September 27 to 29, brought nearly 40 butterfly enthusiasts together from across the nation. Participants included representatives from North Eastern Hill University, Cotton University, and Maharashtra Forest Department. Presentations on butterfly taxonomy were part of the event.

Additionally, the participants witnessed a total of 85 species of butterflies flitting across the Kaziranga-Karbi Anglong landscape.
