GUWAHATI: Kamrup Metro District Administration has issued a weather alert stating that heavy rains are expected in Guwahati within the next 24 hours.

"Heavy rains are expected in Guwahati city within the next 24 hours. The city is expected to receive 7-11 cm of rainfall during this period till 8.30 am tomorrow," the District Administration tweeted.
On Saturday, August 31, various parts of Guwahati experienced moderate to heavy rainfall from late afternoon to evening.
