GUWAHATI: Deputy Commissioner (DC) of Kamrup Metro Pallav Gopal Jha has been appointed as the new Managing Director (MD) of Guwahati Metropolitan Drinking Water and Sewerage Board, a Government order read.
“In the interest of Public Service, Shri Pallav Gopal Jha, IAS, Deputy Commissioner, Kamrup (M) and Project Director, PIU, JICA assisted Guwahati Water Supply Project is also posted as Managing Director, Guwahati Metropolitan Drinking Water & Sewerage Board and Project Director, PIA, JICA assisted Guwahati Sewerage Project in addition to his substantive post,” the order read.
Earlier, A Sampath had resigned from his Managing Director post of Guwahati Metropolitan Drinking Water and Sewerage Board, citing personal reasons behind his decision.
