Kamakhya temple reopens doors for devotees

GUWAHATI: The Kamakhya temple on June 26 reopened its doors to the devotees after remaining closed for four days for the annual Ambubachi Mela.

The temple doors were opened at around 6 am in the morning after a ‘Nitya Puja’.

It should be mentioned that Assam CM Sarbananda Sonowal and Finance minister Himanta Biswa Sarma were among the first persons to visit the temple.

Devotees have already started flooding the gates of the temple to seek blessings of the goddess Kamakhya, who is believed to be in her annual menstruation course during these four days.
