GUWAHATI: In a recent development, the Ministry of Law and Justice, Department of Justice, Government of India, issued a notification appointing N Unni Krishnan Nair as an Additional Judge of the Gauhati High Court.
This appointment is made in exercise of the power conferred by clause (1) of Article 224 of the Constitution of India.
As per the notification dated November 9, 2023, Justice Nair will hold the position for a period of two years, effective from the date he assumes charge of his office.
The notification was signed by Rajinder Kashyap, Special Secretary to the Government of India.
The appointment brings valuable legal expertise to the Gauhati High Court.
