Internet services will be suspended in all 24 districts from 8:00 AM to 1:30 PM, affecting mobile internet, data, and Wi-Fi services. However, voice calls and fixed-line broadband services will remain unaffected.

This move follows a similar decision by the Assam government, which also banned mobile internet during the Assam Direct Recruitment Examination 2024 to ensure fairness.

“They have learned from us, showing that Assam is setting a national example,” Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma reportedly told the press in Bezera, Kamrup.

With around 650,000 candidates taking the exam, the Jharkhand government stressed its commitment to conducting the test in a "free, fair, and transparent" manner.
