In its first-ever direct assault on Israel, Iran launched over 300 drones and missiles, but the majority was intercepted by Israeli air defenses with assistance from the US, UK, and other allies.

Despite the barrage, Iranian media has not reported any direct impacts and has assured the safety of all nuclear facilities.

The Israeli military has refrained from commenting on the incident. Isfahan province, where the strikes occurred, is home to critical military installations including a major airbase, missile production complex, and various nuclear sites.

Explosions have also been reported near Isfahan International Airport and an army base in Isfahan City, triggering the activation of local air defense systems.

A video circulating from Isfahan shows orange flashes in the night sky accompanied by bursts of what appears to be anti-aircraft fire.
