GUWAHATI: Ripun Bora, Member of Parliament (MP), Rajya Sabha made a subtle jibe against Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi on his birthday.
He posted a picture on Twitter with the caption, "Instead of growing employment opportunity Mor_di is growing Beard."
The President of Assam Pradesh Congress Committee (APCC) further stated that there is growing disillusionment of youth against PM Modi. On the matter of the trend #NationalUnemploymentDay, Bora spoke to G Plus and stated that the trend reflected that "Government has completely given up on creating employment opportunities to solve the problems of the youth. Didn't the same government earlier said they will create 2 crore jobs?"
Meanwhile, a section of people have opposed using Narendra Modi's birthday to attack the leader.
However, the Congress leader clarified, "We are not making any personal attacks. The entire criticism is directed towards his policy. We at Congress wish for him a healthy and long life. The reason we are doing this today is to remind him of the problems in a better way."
