The incident unfolded as the elephant, part of a group of five that had emerged from nearby forests, positioned itself on the road, blocking vehicle movement. While the other four elephants returned to the forest, the injured animal remained, unable to move due to its wounds.

According to locals, the elephant had been attacked by miscreants wielding spears two days earlier, leaving it with visible injuries and restricted mobility. The distressing sight of the wounded animal compelled it to stay on the road, likely seeking refuge.
