GUWAHATI: India’s Abhishek Sharma has surged to the second position in the latest batting rankings. The left-handed batter, who recently played against England in Mumbai, reached a career-best 829 rating points.

Australia’s Travis Head remains at the top of the batting rankings with an impressive 855 rating points, having peaked at 884 during Australia’s clash against Scotland in Edinburgh earlier this year. Tilak Varma, another Indian rising star, holds the third spot with 803 points, having previously reached a personal best of 844 against England in Chennai. England’s Phil Salt follows closely at fourth with 798 points, while India’s batter Suryakumar Yadav, once ranked No.1, has slipped to fifth place with 738 points.
In the bowling department, India’s Varun Chakravarthy, made an impressive leap to third place with 705 points, achieving his career-best ranking of 706 against England in Pune. West Indies' Akeal Hosein continues to dominate at the top with 707 points. England’s Adil Rashid is a close second with 705 points. Sri Lanka’s Wanindu Hasaranga is ranked fourth with 698 points, while Australia’s Adam Zampa completes the top five with 694 points. India’s Ravi Bishnoi has slipped to sixth, holding 671 points, with a career-best of 699 attained against Australia in Bengaluru.
