In a telephonic conversation with UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer, the two leaders agreed that these agreements would strengthen trade, investment, innovation, and job creation across both economies.
Modi further stated that the FTA and convention would serve as catalysts for economic growth and deeper strategic ties between India and the UK. He added that the agreements would enhance opportunities across sectors while deepening the long-standing people-to-people and economic connections between the two nations.
Modi also expressed his anticipation of hosting PM Starmer in India soon, while Starmer echoed the sentiment, saying that strengthening international alliances and reducing trade barriers is central to the UK.
