IMD Predicts Rainfall Over Assam For Next Five Days

 

GUWAHATI: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a weather forecast for the Northeastern region, indicating the likelihood of significant moisture incursion from the Bay of Bengal over the next five days. 

The region is expected to experience widespread rainfall activity accompanied by heavy to very heavy rainfall and thunderstorms with lightning.

 

In Assam, on August 4, the weather is predicted to bring light to moderate rainfall at most places, with isolated areas experiencing heavy to very heavy rainfall. Thunderstorms and lightning are also expected at some isolated locations.

Moving on to August 5, Assam is likely to witness light to moderate rainfall in most places, with isolated areas experiencing heavy to very heavy rainfall. Thunderstorms and lightning are also expected in isolated places.

As the weather system progresses, August 6 will bring light to moderate rainfall at many places in Assam, with isolated heavy to very heavy rainfall.

Looking ahead to August 7 and August 8, the forecast suggests light to moderate rainfall at many places in the region, with isolated areas experiencing heavy rainfall.
