GUWAHATI: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued orange alert for tomorrow, July 13 in Assam.
The department predicts the state to receive heavy to very heavy rainfall tomorrow.
Apart from Assam, Bihar and Meghalaya are also expected to receive heavy to very heavy rainfall on July 13.
The department has predicted that these three states are likely to get 115.6 to 204.4 mm rainfall tomorrow.
Moreover, IMD has identified two potential impacts of the torrential downpours that are expected – localised flooding and landslides.
The department has also issued safety measures to the public. They have asked people to avoid those areas which are prone to water logging. They have also warned people to stay away from vulnerable structures.
