GUWAHATI: The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted heavy to very heavy rainfalls in and around Guwahati for the next four consecutive days. Heavy rains are likely to occur on most days with an exception of June 15 and 16 (Wednesday and Thursday). The IMD predicts Guwahati and surrounding places will receive very heavy rainfall.

According to a weather report issued on June 14, rains may lead to poor visibility, water logging and landslides, which are likely to occur if the condition persists. The IMD has suggested that the public should follow traffic advisories, avoid areas with water logging problem and avoid staying in landslide-prone areas.
