GUWAHATI: NorthEast United FC (NEUFC) has secured former I-League winning coach Khalid Jamil as the Head of Academy and Assistant Coach to the first team for the upcoming season.
Jamil's primary role at the club would be to nurture and groom talents from across the region and oversee the expansion of the club's residential academy.

Khalid Ahmed Jamil is an Indian association football manager and former player, who made seven appearances for the India national football team. Jamil, who holds AFC Pro Coaching License, started his managerial career with Mumbai FC. In 2017, he took over Aizawl FC and led them to their maiden I-League trophy remaining unbeaten at home throughout the journey.
