GUWAHATI: Dhrubajyoti Barman, the office staff superintendent of Cotton University died in a road accident at Jorabat on October 2.

According to official police information, the death occured due to an accident.
Talking to GPlus, a police official from Jorabat Traffic I/C said, “There was a spat between Barman and the driver of a bulker truck whilst he was en-route to Tezpur. The driver tried to yank the keys of Barman's vehicle during the heated argument. However, Barman was hit by a third vehicle which was coming from behind, causing his death.”
“He was taken to GMCH immediately but did not make it unfortunately,” the official added.
The reports of Barman being hit by a rod after being assaulted by the driver in the argument has been proven to be false.
