Heroin Seized In Two Raids In Guwahati, Two Arrested

 

GUWAHATI: Guwahati police have arrested two persons and seized a significant quantity of heroin in two separate operations.

In the first operation, a team from Noonmati police station arrested Dimbeswar Roy of Haripur after a search in his autorickshaw (AS01EC2308) led to the discovery of four vials containing suspected heroin, weighing 8.61 gram. Additionally, police recovered 58 empty vials with traces of suspected heroin. 

Meanwhile, acting on a tip-off, the Special Task Force, Assam (STF) team led by Inspector Kapil Pathak conducted a raid at Guwahati Railway Station, within Panbazar police station’s jurisdiction. The team apprehended a suspect carrying 30 vials of heroin, weighing  40.94 gram, along with a cash amount of ₹4010, lighter, and other articles. The suspect has been idenified as Alom Seikh.
