Heroin Seized At Guwahati’s Basistha, One Held

GUWAHATI: The police from Basistha Police Station in Guwahati seized heroin and arrested one on November 29.

Acting on intelligence, the authorities intercepted a hatchback vehicle near the Basistha flyover and apprehended a suspected drug peddler.

The accused, identified as Taibur Rahman (27) from Kalgachia, was found in possession of two soap boxes containing suspected heroin, weighing approximately 20.91 gram.

The seized narcotics have been sent for further analysis, and legal proceedings have been initiated against the accused.
