GUWAHATI: As per data released by the independent think-tank Centre for Monitoring Indian Economy (CMIE), Haryana has the highest unemployment rate at 23.4% in the country.
CMIE data estimated Assam’s rate of unemployment at 8.5%.

Further, Rajasthan and Tripura stand at 18.9% and 17.1% unemployment rates respectively.
Meanwhile, Telangana has reported the lowest unemployment rate at 0.7 % in the month of January 2022, among all the Indian states.
The unemployment rate of Gujarat stands at 1.2%, Meghalaya at 1.5%, and Odisha at 1.8%.
