GUWAHATI: The India Meteorological Department (IMD), through its Regional Meteorological Centre, has released a weather forecast for Assam and adjoining states for the upcoming days.
According to the forecast issued for April 1, light to moderate rain is expected to occur at most places over Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, and Meghalaya.

Additionally, many places over Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, and Tripura are likely to experience light to moderate rain.
On April 2, similar weather conditions are anticipated, with light to moderate rain expected at most places over Arunachal Pradesh, many places over Assam and Meghalaya, and a few places over Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, and Tripura.
The forecast for April 3rd and 4th remains consistent, with light to moderate rain expected at most places over Arunachal Pradesh and many places over Assam and Meghalaya. Additionally, isolated places over Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, and Tripura may experience light to moderate rain.

Warnings have also been issued for thunderstorm and lightning, with gusty winds reaching speeds of 30-40 kmph expected at isolated places over Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, and Arunachal Pradesh. Heavy rain is likely to occur at isolated places over Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, and Manipur.
