GUWAHATI: In joint efforts, Guwahati Municipal Corporation (GMC) along with Assam Power Distribution Corporation Ltd. (APDCL) has made arrangements to link the APDCL Consumer Number with that of your GMC Holding Number and pay the property taxes by December 2022.
One can now generate their GMC Holding Number or pay the property tax from the comforts of their home by following a few simple steps.
To pay your property tax, generate your holding number or to link your holding number to that of your APDCL Consumer Number, you can visit www.gmcpropertytax.com.
Here’s How To Generate GMC Holding Number
Visit www.gmcpropertytax.com and click on ‘Click Here To Generate Your Holding No.’
You will be redirected to a new page for Self-Assessment application form.
Once verified and submitted with all the necessary details and measurements by the applicant, the page will be redirected to a page which displays Tax information.
After submitting or confirming the tax details, it will be redirected to page where you will get the option to pay the calculated taxes.
After confirming bill details, the page will be redirected to payment gateway page to make the necessary final payment.
After successful payment, a payment reference number will be generated.
You may click on the ‘Download Money Receipt’ to keep it in your record.
Self-Assessment Status Check
Visit www.gmcproperytax.com and click on ‘Click here to see your Application status’
Provide the ‘Payment Reference Number’ and click on ‘Check’
If your status is approved, the ‘Assessment Key’ and the ‘Holding Number’ will be displayed.
If status is pending, ‘UnderProcess’ status will be displayed. In case of the need for any additional documents, the option will be available to upload the necessary documents.
If status is rejected, ‘Rejected’ status will be displayed.
Here’s How To Pay Your Property Tax
Visit www.gmcpropertytax.com and click on ‘Click here to pay your Property Tax’.
Provide the holding number. All the corresponding data will be fetched after providing the number.
You can select which quarter to pay or select all unpaid quarters at once.
After clicking ‘Pay Now’ the final bill will be displayed confirming which, the page will be redirected to payment gateway.
After successful payment, a payment reference number will be generated.
You may click on the ‘Download Money Receipt’ to keep it in your record.
Here’s How To Link Your Holding Number To APDCL Consumer Number
Visit www.gmcpropertytax.com and click on ‘Click here to link to your APDCL Consumer No.’
Provide your APDCL Consumer number.
The page will be redirected to Holding Number and Assessment ID Update for your GMC area.
Add your Assessment ID number to verify. You can check the option ‘Click here to check your Assessment ID’ to find yours.
You can also link your Consumer number to your Holding number through www.apdcl.org or myBijulee App.
Guwahati Municipal Corporation (GMC) has introduced a special waiver scheme on property tax. Exemptions of 50% have been granted for taxpayers whose taxes were unpaid prior to the financial year 2020-21. The offer is valid only till January 15, 2023.
