Heavy Rain Is Expected In Assam And Other NE States In Next Five Days: IMD

 

GUWAHATI: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued rainfall warnings for Assam and other parts of the Northeast, predicting precipitation patterns over the next five days.

The region is expected to experience varying intensities of rainfall, accompanied by thunderstorms and lightning at isolated places.
Light to moderate rain is very likely to occur at most places over Assam in the next five days.

Heavy to very heavy with extremely heavy rain is very likely to occur at isolated places over Assam on July 11 as well as thunderstorms and lightning.

Similarly, on July 12, heavy to very heavy with extremely heavy rain is very likely to occur at isolated places over Assam as well as thunderstorms and lightning.

July 13 will see heavy to very heavy rain occurring at isolated places over Assam.

The downpours are expected to come down a notch on July 14 and 15 when heavy rain is likely to occur at isolated places over the state.

Other northeastern states including isolated places of Arunachal Pradesh, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Tripura, Manipur and Mizoram are expected to receive heavy to very heavy rainfall in the next five days.
