Assam Police on 17th September arrested a man from Hajo area of Kamrup district for threatening to murder the health, finance and PWD minister Himanta Biswa Sarma.
The accused, Aktar Ali reportedly posted a death threat for Sarma on his Facebook post.
After a case was filed against Ali on the basis of the post, Ali went into hiding.
He was arrested after a search operation was launched and is currently being interrogated.
Further investigation is currently underway, informed Hajo Police.
Reportedly, the presidents of the BJP units in Uttar Hajo and Hajo Mandal filed FIR against Aktar Ali.
