GUWAHATI: Every evening, the serene Lachit Ghat in Guwahati transforms into an open-air training ground where a group of young stunt performers push their physical limits. With no professional coaches or structured training, these passionate individuals rely on YouTube tutorials, sheer determination, and relentless practice to perfect their flips, jumps, and daring stunts.

They train without any barriers or safety practising flips, jumps, and rolls, most of which have an aerial aspect involved.

Among them is Tapan from West Karbi Anglong, whose dream is to carve a name for himself in the world of stunts. Like his fellow performers, he believes in hard work, perseverance, and the idea that those who keep jumping may one day fly.

Talking to GPlus, Tapan said, “I am from West Karbi Anglong and I have come here in Guwahati to practise flips daily. We work very hard from 6 in the morning to 1 in the afternoon. Let’s see what the future has in store for me.”

For these self-taught athletes, stunt training is not just a hobby but a pursuit of excellence. They spend hours honing their craft, learning from each other, and overcoming challenges with unwavering dedication. Despite the absence of professional guidance or advanced equipment, their commitment remains unshaken.

With the rise of social media, many of these performers hope to gain recognition and opportunities in the entertainment industry. Some aspire to enter professional stunt work, while others dream of showcasing their skills on bigger platforms.
