Two women from the Assam Amateur Boxing Association are all set to participate in the 7th Nations Cup International Boxing Championship to be held in Serbia from 9th to 15th January 2018.
The two young boxers are Niki Kujur and Joy Kumari Lama. While Niki Kujur will compete in the junior girls’ category, Joy Kumari Lama will compete in youth women category.
To add to the glory, Assam’s judge and international referee Payel Subba has been selected to officiate as judge and referee during the championship. For the first time, a woman referee and judge from North East India will officiate such an International event.
