GUWAHATI: GPlus Athletic made an emphatic start to their campaign in the second Guwahati Premier Football League (GPFL), thrashing the Sports Authority of India (SAI) with a commanding 4-0 victory at Judges’ Field on Sunday, November 24.

Jack Wanswet was the star of the match, scoring a brace with goals in the 7th and 87th minutes. Fready Jyrwa added to the tally with a composed penalty in the 21st minute, while the player of the match Bickyson Kharkongor sealed the first half with a clinical finish during added time.
This year’s GPFL features 16 teams battling it out from November 22 to December 22, promising a month of intense football action for the city’s sports enthusiasts.
