According to a complaint filed by a family member, the students were instructed to wear traditional mekhela chadar during the trip. While the girls were dressing, it was alleged that some boys were watching them, causing discomfort and distress among the students.

The situation worsened during the return journey. The group stopped for a tea break in Jagiroad, where the girls used a public washroom. It was during this time that the conductor of the rented bus allegedly entered the women’s washroom and was caught peeping at the girls.

One of the students immediately reported the incident to the accompanying teacher, expecting imnediate action. However, the response from the teacher was seen as dismissive by the students.

The teacher allegedly brushed off the students' concerns, stating, “What can we do?” Furthermore, when the girls demanded accountability, the teacher is said to have retorted, “Stay in your limits.”
A family member of one of the students filed a formal complaint, urging authorities to investigate the incident and take necessary action against the bus conductor and the school staff involved.

Talking to GPlus, he said, “Students should feel safe on such trips. The school’s failure to act on the complaints is unacceptable"
