GUWAHATI: The death toll in the Garchuk road mishap in Guwahati rose to two after a woman succumbed to her injuries on Wednesday, May 22.

The accident occurred on Tuesday when an SUV knocked down the scooty on which she and her companion was travelling.
Kunti Das died on the spot while Mamoni Bora was grievously injured and admitted to Gauhati Medical College and Hospital, where she succumbed.
Police have arrested the driver of the SUV, Kumud Das.
A Garchuk Police Station official told GPlus that the accident occurred on a service lane.
Further investigation is underway.
