GUWAHATI: The Special Task Force (STF), Assam seized suspected heroin and apprehended two individuals allegedly in possession of the substance on January 19 in Khanapara.
The operation was conducted near Khanapara Public Toilet under the jurisdiction of Dispur Police Station. The authorities seized 23 vials containing 40.1 gram of suspected Heroin, ₹2960 in cash, two stolen mobile phones, five empty vials, one syringe and, one birla aerocon 59 ml allegedly used as a psycho-active substance.
The raid also resulted in the apprehension of the two individuals allegedly involved in drug peddling and theft. The apprehended individuals have been identified as Mukut Mondal (26 yrs) from Swadesh Nagar, Guwahati, and Rajdeep Chungkrang (22 yrs) from Beltola, Guwahati.
Both individuals will face charges related to drug possession, theft, and any other offenses identified during further investigation. Legal proceedings have been initiated and further details are awaited.
