GUWAHATI: Acting on the Supreme Court's order, Guwahati traffic police have launched a major crackdown on the use of sun control (black) films on windscreens and windows of cars ahead of the general elections.
The city traffic police have launched a citywide enforcement drive at various junctions and have removed black films from vehicles on the spot.
The Supreme Court ordered a ban on the usage of black films of any visual light transmission (VLT) or any other material on side windows, windscreens and the rear glass (front and rear).
