Guwahati To Witness Higher Temperatures This Week

 

GUWAHATI: Guwahati is set to witness rising temperatures this week, with the maximum temperature hitting 30° Celsius from Tuesday, February 13, as predicted by a forecast by the Regional Weather Forecasting Centre (RWFC) Guwahati. 

The cold spell gripping the region is coming to an end as the areas around Dispur will see a maximum temperature of 29° Celsius today on Monday, with a minimum temperature of 12° Celsius, while the areas around IIT Guwahati and the Guwahati Airport will see a maximum temperature of 28° Celsius and a minimum temperature of 11° Celsius. 

The temperatures in and around the city will remain stable mid-week on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday with the maximum temperature in Dispur predicted to be 30° Celsius and the minimum temperature predicted to be 12° Celsius, while the areas around IIT Guwahati and the Guwahati Airport will see a maximum temperature of 29° Celsius, and a minimum temperature of 11° Celsius, with fog and mist in the morning and mainly clear sky later in the entire Guwahati. 

On Friday, the city will see a generally cloudy sky with haze as Dispur will have a maximum temperature of 30° Celsius and a minimum temperature of 13° Celsius, while areas around IIT Guwahati and Guwahati Airport will see a maximum temperature of 29° Celsius and a minimum temperature of 12° Celsius, as per the RWFC forecast. 

The temperatures on Saturday and Sunday will see a slight decline with the maximum temperature in Dispur set to be 28° Celsius, with a minimum temperature of 13° Celsius, while IIT Guwahati and Guwahati Airport will see a maximum temperature of 27° Celsius and a minimum temperature of 12° Celsius, stated the forecast.
