GUWAHATI: The Gateway of the North East, Guwahati, is set to get three Starbucks soon.
Earlier, G Plus posted a viral photo of a Starbucks shop getting constructed on the GS Road in Guwahati. The photo has created a lot of buzz among coffee lovers in the city. The Starbucks on GS Road is set to be operational within a few days. This will be the first Starbucks in the entire North East India.
As per highly-placed sources, two more Starbucks are coming up in Guwahati. The places are - the Guwahati Airport, which is set to be operational within three months, and the Brahmaputra River Heritage Centre in Panbazar. The tentative time for the completion of the Starbucks at the Brahmaputra River Heritage Centre is not yet clear.
Guwahati residents are excited about the opening of the premier coffee shop. However, a few are even confused about what Starbucks is and have reached out to G Plus asking what they sell apart from coffee.
