GUWAHATI: In a collaborative effort between the Maligaon Operational Police (OP) team, based at Jalukbari Police Station, and the Crime Branch, the dismantling of an illicit Teer gambling operation at Gaushala Friday Bazaar was done on August 4.
The operation resulted in the arrest of an individual identified as Jwitun Hajowary, a resident of Jalukbari, who was found to be actively involved in illegal gambling activity.
During the operation, the joint team executed a well-coordinated action that led to the apprehension of Jwitun Hajowary, the alleged mastermind behind the gambling operation.
Alongside his arrest, significant evidence was confiscated, including Teer ticket books, a sum of ₹12,040 in cash, and a mobile handset.
These items serve as crucial proof of his involvement in illegal activity.
