GUWAHATI: The city police arrested a man on alleged sexual harassment charges on Friday night.
As per official information, the man allegedly attempted to sexually harass a woman, following which the latter filed a complaint at Basistha Police Station.
Acting on the complaint, the police took the accused in their custody. The accused man has been identified as one Anil Baruah, a teacher by profession at Tipong High School located in Tinsukia.
An official from Basistha Police Station while talking to G Plus said, “We apprehended the accused right after we received the complaint and further investigations are underway.”
