Guwahati: Task Force Established To Investigate Hike In Vegetable Prices In Market

GUWAHATI: The Kamrup Metro District Administration has established a task force to inspect vegetable markets in response to an increase in prices.

The Food Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs officials visited numerous markets in Guwahati, setting up investigations to ensure that vendors conform to pricing guidelines and prevent any non-conformance.

The purpose of this action was to prevent the increased prices of vegetables from harming the public.

At the end of today's operation at the Ganeshguri vegetable market, the task force received two vegetable price lists.

Sources indicate that the task force instructed vendors to display a list of vegetable prices at their shops daily and to sell vegetables at a ₹5-10 profit.

Vendors who failed to follow these procedures were issued strict warnings.

Today, four teams are conducting raids in different areas of Guwahati.
