GUWAHATI: The Guwahati Municipal Corporation (GMC) has issued a notification stating that its valued customers and public in Sarania and surrounding areas would face an interruption in the water supply on Septemebr 4 and September 5 due to a leakage in the pumping line.

“There will be an interruption in water supply for two days starting from today, i.e 4.09.2020 and 5.09.2020 due to 350mm dia pumping line feeding to Sarania reservoir has occurred sudden leakage at panbazar Old Pipeline. Therefore pumping to sarania reservoir shall be stopped today until restoration," states the notification.
Officials at the GMC said, “Our technical team is on the ground round the clock to ensure the water supply is restored at the earliest. Mobile Water Tanker will be facilitated wherever it is necessary. The Corporation regrets any inconvenience that may be caused by the interruption.”
